It's trying SO hard to be DaS4. Devs put in a ton of work to fix complaints and added new content for free. Probably tied with lies of P for being the best non-FROM souls game.

Great scifi-cult atmosphere, even though the assets are basic. Combat is basic souls and a bit jank, but the interconnected world design is huge and fantastically made. They took the concept of DaS1 interconectivitiy and made it 5X bigger
