one of my favorite horror moments in 2hu is one of the manga chapters where it's revealed at on certain nights, Tanuki fall into some kind of frenzy and go buckwild with their trickery. Of course Touhou is much closer to fucking Ready Jet Go! then Berserk or anything so not much is done with this concept besides a few gags, but the way this panel describes it always stuck with me. They're clearly not smallfry since they can generate entire fake moons and disguise as other people later in the chapter, so what the hell is their limit? It's like the Paraphernalia Wagon from the Halloween Grinch sequel for me. If you were at the epicenter of their grubby paws, how fucking degenerate would they stoop?
