I will correct myself
>Nobody said the game is perfect and so didn't I.
I meant to write great. I wrote perfect because you made it sound like it is, especially when starting to talking down on me after I said it's not great in my initial post.
>Make you look like some internet tough boy bragging about his internet achievements.
Wasn't my intention, it was a way of saying how one would have to restrict or hold themselves back to have challenge in the game.
>So, I really want to see all your ten squads that you just put together randomly based on your affection
I don't remember, it was around a year ago. All I remember I barely had any issues after getting and keeping most of my units(the ones I liked and used) overleveled by doing every content available as the game progressed. I don't remember Bastoria being much difficult, there was maybe one mission that took longer, because I had to hold a single point and slowly crawl through the battle map?
picrel my comp at the end, I mainly had an alain waifu unit, a knight unit, a griff unit, a thief and then randos I tried to make work but didn't care much. usually the first two-three were enough for anything
> it only gets too easy when you use specifically the same stomp-everything tools everyone used
Yeah, so when you don't use those best tools you restrict your available pool of tools, thus don't use all the tools the game gives you.
>maximum joy of squad-building
I won't squad-build for just the sake of squad-building. As I said it got repetitive around elf land and made me just want to get through, so I wouldn't stop to mess around unless when I really wanted to use specific characters. Like I think I had to put a healer in my knights unit, but it was generally braindead changes
>You just seem to judge it purely on the difficulty.
I don't, I just replied to that because every other point I agreed with on your initial post and that one thing impacts most of the gameplay which is the core of a game.
