I was about to write the same things that >>530977260 said. I absolutely agree with your every word, the Tsubasa/Darumi kiss was netflix-tier pandering slop and was, in fact, bad.
Relationships are much, much, much better when the author isn't writing with one hand and is actually thinking about the dynamic of the characters and how each of their personalities clash and merge together. I envy Eitaku fujoshi for the sheer amount of content they have throughout the entire game, it's something more than a BL where you have 1/8th of the build up and writing and just the kissing and yaoi and it's soulless slop with no fandom, definitely not one as big as HL's.

Anyway, that's why in my ideal Hiruko Protagonist DLC, I'd like the yuri fanservice to be something additional instead of the dommy mommy caricature that Kodaka wrote for Hiruko. I actually hated Hiruko x Darumi for the longest time because I thought it was forced slop but came to like them because of the unexpected potential and barebones ingame development.
