(And I have gripes with Nozomi about that too, how she just happens to be able to do same shit as Kurara or Yugamu when they're dead but their skills are required for the plot).How she sought to replicate the exact moment of despair in Takumi just so that she could see and feel it all over again (When the timeline is already set in stone, with her retarded rails allegory, just fucking lying to Takumi about setting up the route where he's cured when he was not, in fact, cured at all)
How every other character become one-dimensional cardboard cutouts, only firing off comedic quips and literal shit jokes? How Eva's brainwashing is just glossed over as "being good for her"?
How the whole issue of futurum, being actual invaders, is just... brushed off? Neither Hiruko or Takumi care about that in the least, it being saved in 055 is essentially a nice collateral that lets them actually live, seeing as Eva butchers the lot of them if they torch the planet anyway (in the timeline where Kamyuhn already got killed on day 93, funny that)
How the Call Tails timeline, offshoot of their own fucking timeline, gets pretty much sacrificed? Your friends matter, Takumi, but only those in your timeline. Sure, it was out of their hands by that time, but it is their fuckup nonetheless.

Played through Goodbye Eito at the suggestion of an anon from a couple threads ago since it was so short and I think this is one of the best written routes in the game. Maybe I'm exaggerating but I wish more routes were character focused like this and Retsnom.

That's me yeah. I also played Multiple Eitos a couple hours ago too, Didn't like it as much but it still was pretty good. The endurance test ending reminded me a bit of Thriller at the end lmao. Before the g'ie got revealed in the Uchikoshi routes I was kind of expecting the shit that's going on in Multiple E's to be the case there. Which may or may not be better. I don't know how I feel about them as a plot device yet, still. Said in another thread but all the alien ecology scifi shit feels like it's from a different game.

Well those are the Uchikoshi elements that connect everything. And Kodaka got hands on pretty much only on routes connected to 2nd scenario (and comedy). He didn’t help with any of the kill routes or BoC (which certainly feels like one).

It is funny to see if you do KG early and everyone makes fun of Takumi for worrying about being possessed by Eito and then look how that shit turned out! It could happen!

I think the only reason it didn’t (but my friends doesn’t agree) in the kill routes Takumi always kills Sirei no matter what, thus he has to always have a G’ie in him. So maybe his brain was too full of bug to let Eito in as much

It's THE famous scene of Killing game, haven't you played it? No?? Good!!!! It's a horrible route. It had some interesting Hiruko and Darumi development at the start that showed the whole BDSM petplay as something Hiruko uses to rein in Darumi from killing herself or doing something harmful by ordering her to take care of herself and so on, it was interesting. But of course, that's all thrown out the window for the sake of the Holy Mary Sue Tsubasa who needs to be the center of attention in every scene and so Darumi just... forgets about Hiruko entirely and even replaces the mistress thing with Tsubasa because of one yuri kiss that's apparently more meaningful to her than everything Hiruko did.
Apologies for the rant, I'm still annoyed. HL is sure a game.

Not only rarer but when a Yaoi or a Yuri or something with a focus on the Relationship's Trope does decide to flesh out the characters it's often not very good. I don't know what is it, exactly, there's not a real reason that all yaois and yuris have bad writing but they do.

Actually... I'm just repeating my months old rants, but one aspect of why I love Hiruko so much is that she's a very romantic and obsessive character and it's all entirely in the subtext of her routes and never flat out corny flirting and dating and kissing or even sex scenes. She's so far away from those things, S.F.'s the closest to that but the most intimate moments between her and Takumi are the bad endings where they die together and... that's the most romantic they'll go. The absurd circumstances of their one kiss make it so much better. It's so unfortunate that Takumi is a MALE WHORE and these scenes are almost meaningless because his character is just truly loathsome. In my Hiruko Protagonist VN, she projects her obsession and love on someone worthy. I don't know who, but it's not him.

Darumi only revealed she was faking to Takumi after she accidentally let it slip while she was collapsed and in pain. If Takumi hadn’t caught that it seems like she would’ve continued to keep the act up indefinitely

While that is the main idea I think could have to do with it, it could also just simply be that Takumi was somehow filled with even more Hate when he killed Eito in Multiple Eito’s. Suppose after letting him live then getting screwed it just made him hate that much more and feeling like that was what allowed Eito to flourish more and be able to combine with/steal his body. But I dunno, Takumi in the kill routes killed his ass pretty soon after he pulled that shit at the end of route 0 so I feel like the levels of hate should’ve been about the same.

In a prerelease interview, the KG author said Yugamu would play the heroine role (and we all saw how that was a lie)
I expected something like Takumi saving Yugamu's life and then them becoming inseparable

Bonds carry over throughout the routes and it's only like 15 gifts per person to max bond rank them so you should have more than enough time, I think.

Yeah a lot of people do, I did too although that was from back tracking after seeing what telling the truth does lol. That one, Comedy, and Box of Blessings are ones that I recommend if you end up on them to just go to a different option. Not worth wasting your time (unless you want to see Kurara and Kyoshika romance i guess). Just come back to em later if you do care about 100%-ing.

Im locked in to see all aspects of the game, so i ended up doing the romance route in full once i got on it. It made me think for a while if the game is going to be worth it, since i didn't really like it but i didnt want to back down on my choices either lol. I did think Kyoshikas romance chapters were cute at least, i think it elevated her character. Im going to have to fuck off from these threads for now since i dont want to get spoiled
