Too bad Final Fantasy didn't utilize them well. If I was a game designer and has his level of music, I would have designed locations and story around it. Instead, they just stuck it in as an afterthought. And in some games like Final Fantasy VI, you can rush through areas before even hearing the whole song. At least in III and V you get larger areas and get to hear the whole songs.

While Sugiyama has the problem of having too few songs in DQ games, FF has the problem of too many songs and not using them well.
