i would fucking adore something that used more of the cast (that isn't quest) like a more real rpg more in the vein of saturn madou or like you said, fire emblem, i know compile really were just throwing the madou characters at anything but i still feel that's better than sega being weirdly against the notion.

like another anon said, general mismanagement across the entire franchise. even compile had their faults like said slapping of the madou characters into random shit like a parappa/DDR clone or a pokemon clone (even if i like arle's adventure) and the theme park basically being their undoing. sega meanwhile started off on a decent foot with the fever games after trying to reign with shit like minna, only to cry right back to the compile characters with 15th because fever 2 didn't sell a million copies and then wandered around aimlessly after adding in suzuran.
