Every month since forever there's at least 1, if not several threads about "How come every time I find an interesting thread to comment on, the thread dies exactly right after I comment"? Well guess what? It doesn't. What DOES happen is that for some reason (that admittedly I can't figure out), when these events are designated to happen, "something" happens where just that tab never really reloads for you (in that tab) no matter how many times you refresh the page. Wut do?
>Copy the URL of the thread that seems to have died right after you posted
>Open up a new tab
>Post that URL in the new tab
>Press return
>"Viola, a whole bunch of replies after your last replied which you assumed ended the thread"
"But why does this happen?" No fucking idea, I just discovered it by complete accident on a whim.
Maybe it's some technical glitch, maybe it's some special PHP they inject in that tab instance to make you think the thread died to make you lose interest and stop looking at it because you or someone said something interesting or disturbing to "them", no idea.
