My dad, who's been a programmer for 30+ years, echoes this when talking about AI. He's actually got a pretty respectful opinion of the younger guys at his company who'd embraced the tech way before he did.

It's not doing to change the discourse because nobody listens to fucking programmers, but it's still nice to hear balanced takes.
