Why can't I sell something based on public domain data or that I trained with art I legally commissioned for this purpose? No license would have been even theoretically violated. Enough people have an interest in this to crowdfund public use models or to create GPL-like and other licenses.
You're also underestimating the fact that you can create training sets based off images generated by the same model. You basically generate 1000 images, take the best 100, and use them to retrain and improve quality.

A large portion could already be replaced but the machinery is more expensive to build and maintain than the people. For example you could have a self-service tire shop that is like a carwash where you just drive in and it uses machinery to remove and reinstall your tire but it would cost a lot.
Cashiers have already been replaced at a lot of places, fast food probably could be replaced and i'd prefer it since most employees today are very bad at their jobs and don't want to do them anyway. AI taxis are in development.
