If you want a tl;dr then it's Japanese Far Cry. The combat is visually flashy but fairly basic as you have your pistol (Wind), your shotgun (Water), and your rocket launcher (Fire) alongside your stealth weapon (Bow). You have talismans as well that do various effects but they won't really be seeing use as they're expensive in early game and only a few are worth it in endgame even with the new yokai released with Spider Thread's release.

The setting is great, the enemy designs are great, the combat with the enemies is somewhat basic as you usually just parry and then do something or abuse instakill stealth backstabs which got more broken in Spider Thread's upgrades, the ghost collecting makes up an enormous part of the game, and it's poorly paced.
