The voice stuff from the BG tree is mostly single target CC. You can order 1 person to move to you, ignore you, or just outright do nothing. I personally don't use it much but they are useful.

The main BG skill most people use is the sprint. Quick and dirty webm very much related. BG Sprint + suspensor belt is ridiculous mobility. You can do the same vertically with another skill, shigawire.
