Writer frens, I'm curious. How would you write a pokemon anime? I guess you could do the ye olde protagonist tries to get all the gym badges route, but you would need an entertaining group for that. My memories hazy because I haven't seen the early seasons in over a decade, but if I'm correct, what made Ash great was that he was a punk kid. He technically cheated to beat Brock and would banter with Misty often. Later Ash was a downgrade by comparison because he became more of a generic shonen protag.
Anyway, I would try to write dumb, fun stuff like a series about a pokemon detective or haha what if Liko got dynamaxed, haha.
