Easy, it's the first Fire Emblem game for a lot of people on here.
>On Gamecube, which a lot of people on here had growing up
>Easily accessible via Dolphin
>Has fun characters that interact with one another just enough to still have a personality, especially compared to previous titles where after you recruit a character they just stop talking until their end screen (I still think Titania's one of the best designed units in any SRPG)
>Maps are pretty well designed, added a bunch of new terrain effects, no real stinkers except for the 3 parter swamp before Ike's promotion
>Battle animations at the time were incredible, great character models
>Ike is a cool Lord, see his growth from a kid into an unstoppable war machine
>Story goes along at a decent pace, never in one place for too long

It's got its problems (it's pretty easy even on American Hard Mode, weak Enemy phase, etc.) but it was a perfect first Fire Emblem for me.
