I played a few hours of remake and then a few hours of the original and I didn't like the original in comparison. I was really surprised to see that fat man and Jessie died without any character development or anything. I really enjoyed the little arc she has in remake. I also hated the random encounters, to the point I cheated in some materia that lowers them, but overall I still preferred the remake cause of the characters and overall presentation. Call me a bunch of names if you want but yeah. It kind of makes me sad too cause I know Remake might as well be a sequel with all the retarded plot changes and spooky ghosts so wish I could've enjoyed the original to enjoy remake fully.
