so basically my friend is a american grocery bagger, he had a schizo episode and decided to drop out from school and be a poet.

so he yeah, they pestering to review his poetry and im like huh?
I dont even understand it, i put it on chatgpt and the ai cannot even understand it, im too nice to tell them i dont want to harm them.

So they basically recently told me they signed up on some poetry competition and they told me they made as "finalist" i was like:
Holy shit! thats amazing!

I ask them like what's that competition name?
and he says its like "eber and wein" so I do a quick look up on it and looks legit but there is tons of people calling it a scam, what that site does is that it basically lies to people telling them that their poetry is fire and it even tells they "won" and that their poetry will be featured on their next book release and then asks them for 50-100 dollars if they want to buy the book where that winning poem is featured in.

My friend is really invested in this and i dont know if i should burst their bubble or what. its just so hard

give me your opinion on what to do here or if you wanna talk in depth add me i guess?
