It is not a binary choice between Anthony Burch overexplaining a plot a 5 year old could comprehend and intentionally vague shit that explicitly makes no sense because the writing is all inspired by the director reading Lord of the Rings as a kid while not being able to read English properly at all. Games are allowed to have middlegrounds where we can have a decent amount of actual explicit commentary on the world and the ongoings of the characters without it beating you over the head smugly.
