Those are basically calories and nothing else (and mostly carb and some fat if memory serves right).
The real benefit of them is they have a good shelf life (5 or 7 years?) in absolute horrible conditions (extreme heat and cold) unlike MREs.
Hence their use in life rafts or you can buy them and keep in your cars trunk.

We should go with Trumps first term idea, mass equivalent of Hello Fresh or equivalent shipped straight to their door.
Cut down on fraud when you can only sell so much at a time, way less junk food, and it would save on medical expense too as it would lack a ton of sugary junk food.

Needless to say that shit would be lobbied to death by PepsiCo , Britons Lay, Coca Cola and all the others.
