What caliber should I get in a bolt action? I am wanting to get into hunting with my brother and wasn't sure which route to go. I'm heavily considering .308 for the distance and power (not to mention I don't have anything of that caliber in my collection) but have also see bolt actions in 300 blkout. I've heard its a meme but I also don't plan on suppressing...unless I should. I'm sorry if I am posting in wrong thread, I couldn't find long distance thread anywhere.
