I would say that he´s a bad prosecutor but a solid "rival" for AA standards. His main schtick is that he doesn´t focus on the overall case or targets the defendant to get him a guilty verdict, but instead directly attacks Phoenix with the sole intention of just making him lose the case and make him feel like a failure, which is why he constantly puts pressure on him and always tries to shut down his arguments regardless of how weak his rebuttals usually are. Which is why Phoenix considers him dangerous pretty early in the game, since he wasn´t expecting going against a guy with such erratic behaviour that apparently knows and hates him for some reason.
