Ideally, Batman should have an almost fatherly, trustworthy, sturdy presence. Affleck's character is simply too wild, not in control of himself, has to be talked down by Superman, who in the comics is usually the more idealistic, out-of-touch one. Gregory Peck is the ideal Batman/Wayne. I also think Alec Baldwin in the early '90s could've been a good candidate.
