Yeah.... I keep thinking in my mind that PS3 and 360 are only like 10 years old max.
>PS5 is 5 years old
>Switch 1 is 7 years old
>PS4 is almost 12 years old
>PS VITA is 13 years old
>3ds is 14 years old
>360 and ps3 are 19 years old
>PSP and DS are 21years old
>gamecube, xbox and ps2 are 24 years old
>N64 is 29 years old
>PS1 is 31 years old
All of this "feels" off.
Like everything here should be closer to 10 years younger.
Time feels like its simultaneously going slower and faster at the same time.
There isn't really much of a technological leap forward from PS4 to now and I have little to no excitement for a PS6.

It also feels like being a "gamer" isn't a subculture anymore. 20 years ago, you learned the ins and outs of games, everyone played around a screen even if it was single player and bonded over games. You shared cool finds, and you all got together and played on voice chat without fear of catching bans.
Now, you ask someone if they like games they talk about how much they spend on some shitty GACHA game and barely comprehend mechanics of regular games. No one plays together anymore, couch co-op is dead, no one talks in lobbies, and it feels like being alone for the most part and playing a story.

It's weird.
Maybe my mind gravatates to the positive memories being sooner than they really were.
