The course that Crossworlds will get will be based on Mutant Mayhem, but the designs for the Turtles themselves will likely be the designs from the 2012 TMNT Nick show since they are using the Battle Tycoon by Gamefam as a reference point.

Sonic characters do. I am unsure for crossover IPs as back in the concept phase, they were given one or the other based on "vibes" (not joking) and what they can do for references to their source material.

No they wear shorts.
