So why do people hate The Hobbit movies more than 'It's too long?'

My only complaints were Legolas getting NTR'd with the OC elf girl, and Thorin instantly becoming a total asshole the moment he even got near the Lonely Mountain, you'd think that gold madness would take some time to set in.
