There really aren't any good points for desegregation. A lot of the issues people have to day are a direct result of people trying to segregate without segregating. the housing crisis and zoning stuff is because people don't want blacks in their towns, the "people" seething about muh suburbs and cars are seething because people want to live in the suburbs where there are no minorities (also cities are gay in general). we literally waste fuck tons of money on schools by making multiple districts to prevent forced busing and give kids worse educations because in blue states they won't suspend or expel black kids who act like assholes in class because

which means teachers have to spend the entire time policing one or 2 shitheads and none of the kids can learn and then most blue states are trying to get rid of honors programs/tracking because the classes ended up getting segregated because schools had been sending all the shitheads to the same classes as the speds so the honors kids could still learn.

but at the same time… depending on who you're talking about here over 50 percent of blacks were in extreme poverty before the civil rights act it was mostly reduced by giving them dei jobs and affirmative action. So I can’t imagine keeping a complete impoverish group with a 85 IQ average in a segregated ghetto when the crack era comes around black nationalist becoming rich off selling drugs running whole entire ghettos.
