I'm late but I wanted to post that I finally got around to finishing smt1. I got the neutral end for the first time.
I like the dialog much more here than in the other endings.
My biggest takeaways from playing the game again:
>I know I played on neutral but even when I played on hard the first time the game is insanely easy. Anything zio inflicting shock on almost all the end game bosses was too much. I think smt 1 might be the easiest game in the series.
>too much maze like dungeon design with nothing going on where the only challenge is switching back and forth from automap which is purely tedious
>the floor where you get the sword for fusion and the second half of destiny land were the only dungeons I liked sadly out of the whole game
>I like that the chaos hero and law hero are fairly grounded individuals before they become radicalized
>that said, their radicalization is pretty forced with law hero basically being brainwashed into a different character but even chaos hero jumping to needing demon fusion on himself so suddenly without considering any other options was very rushed
>the heroine bitching at me in the prison cell was the most fun part of dialog from her and I wish I got more
The funniest thing about my run was the demon I kept from beginning to end. And it was Kushinada. I fused her on a whim when she popped up in possible combos and I thought I'd fuse her just for fun because of the names I was using. I fully planned to fuse her away after a couple screenshots. Instead she was my most valuable player. She was my heroine's MP battery and also my primary Estoma caster. And I was so thankful for being able to cast Estoma any time in the late game because I'm so over leveled at that point and it was nice to just be able to walk around freely when I had 16 floors to scale.
So yeah, Aogami beat the game with both of his wives, just as it should be.
