artists are naturally introverts so its no surprise managing social media isn't something they're good at. it has to be really worth it for them to do so.
but most artists don't reach the levels where their art can pay their bills
even if they're good, even if they have a "decent" following
turns out a decent following doesn't really mean anything other than posting to a bunch of passive followers who will like a post and never interact with your art otherwise
or worst case scenario you get some autist who hates your guts and is trying to dox you because you humble bragged once.
its hardly worth it when you have a day job too
its very easy to get in the position to where you're thinking "why am i doing this"?
on a more positive note, maybe they do get a job in the industry and have to neglect their accounts because they're now drawing for their company
