I'd at least be looking at AWD, since most similarly priced and sized luxo CUV/SUVs all offer AWD that's often rear-biased (X3/GLC/Stelvio/Macan). The RX350 does have the advantage of that n/a, direct + port injected V6 that makes more power than some of the base I4 turbo engines from those other brands however. AWD models also have a 'center lock' button in the center console that locks the AWD into 50/50 mode which actually gives it the ability to at least go off the beaten path. You still get similar MPG since it primarily acts "on demand" i.e. only when traction loss is detected the rest of the time.
Realistically, the Lexus will likely just have a softer tuned suspension and feel floaty in that good, American land-yacht sort of way. Coming from a CX-5 it'll probably just feel like a much more plush version. I had a few CX-5s as rentals before and they tend to have their suspensions tuned a bit 'sportier'.

These are worth it especially since they hold their value very well, even 250k+ mile examples regularly sell for quite a lot and they'll last way longer than that since they're just rebadged Land Cruiser Prados.
