I don't like near future content because it gets so laughably outdated in 10 years and ultimately more resembles combat from 5 years prior to it. Like A3 aside of a few things was more like 2009 era warfare. For god's sake it took until 2021 to get an explosive drone

It's eternal Ukraine war now. Also what you should understand is ultimately they don't want modern war, they want to play DayZ crossed with American Sniper. All the WCS ones have zero zilch drones, no thermals (I think that maybe a technical issue rather than deciding to not have them), but what it does have is silenced x16 optic rifles everywhere so every single game just becomes bushwookie DayZ. And I am fairly sure if they ever get thermals modded in the sniper players will make those servers not run it just as they don't get drones because

Vietnam, WW2 (starting to appear as a server in tests) are amazing and the GWOT stuff is better because of lack of silencers, but I guess they are wanting the spirit of 2008 Afghanistan because it's just snipe snipe snipe nothing else. I wouldn't mind it if we had the means to counteract bushniggers but instead it's 2026 era scopes (minus thermals) yet 1945 style solutions for rooting out snipers.

I would be mad but the rice fields and dunes and soon hedgerows are my habibi so I am happy.
