Great sweaty hike to a coastal waterfall yesterday. It was only a trickle, as I visited just ahead of a prolonged rainstorm. The local bus driver gave me a ride to and from the trailhead for RM 2.80 each way, but today when I tried to wave him down for a ride up to Paka, the fucker blew on past the bus stop without slowing down. Nobody on board. He thinks his job duty is to speed up and down the highway in an empty bus, forget the passengers. I tried to hitchhike, but nobody stopped for me. Thankfully a neighbor offered to give me a ride, and even brought me 5 km past his workplace into town.
