This actually reminds be of various Undertale fanfictions using "stars" as a substitute for "god".
Eg, instead of going "oh thank god", monsters will go "oh thank stars".
Or even just saying "stars", in the same ways somebody would say "jesus" in reaction to something.

Despite the fact that nobody in UT does this.
And the fact that multiple monsters do use the word "god". Alphys alone says it like 30+ times
