It calloused people who otherwise would’ve helped, it drove a wedge between begs and ints, it shut down discourse and redirected energy into teamsports instead of learning to draw. By simplifying the argument into a ridiculously polarizing and flawed interpretation of the problem we didn’t just “filter the weak,” we took incentive and desire away from all skill levels to participate in collective betterment.
