The only thing I can take from this thread is that you people are absolutely terrified of losing. If you seriously think you need 100+ hours in training mode as a beginner, you are delusional. Figure out the mechanics, figure out your moves, and just go fight people. I remember when Strive first came out, the ladder system was fucked(maybe it still is, I haven't played in years). I was at level 2, which was way below anyone else in my region. So I just went to an open lobby, and matched up with a max-level Ky. He absolutely annihilated me. But, he was willing to rematch me. I fought this same guy over and over for 2 hours, and I genuinely felt like a better player afterwards. I learned how good pushblocking was, I got a solid grasp on how my anti-airs worked, and just generally got better at placement. I only beat him 2-3 times, and it was never because I was better than him. It was because I paid attention to his habits, and pulled unhinged stupid moves that managed to pay off. Also grabs. Even top players never seem to see grabs coming when you're not playing a grappler.
