Calling Summer Castoria niche is dumb because she IS the best ST unit in the game basically, but she's good because she can be used for a wide range of situations including both boss-killing and farming, and has tools to do well in both. ST farming is becoming increasingly important as the devs move away from 3/3/3 set ups as well.

However the anon saying that 90++ is niche is correct too. You don't need to care about 90++ and in fact, it's specifically meant to be only for the particularly end-game/built account type players and even then, they can't always do them efficiently. But the game isn't made in a way where you're ever required to do 90++. In 100% of scenarios you can farm 90+ instead and just have an easier time at the cost of a very small amount of efficiency.

Summer Castoria is a fantastic unit, but not having it won't damn you. You can play FGO without even using gold servants if you want. Any form of metafaggotry is exclusive about efficiency autism, which doesn't matter past a certain point.
