right back at you, everything you mentioned works for anyone and aren't even worth bringing up. impids are top tier, very fast runner is among the best genes in the game and makes them good at any general work or labor and great at kiting. weak melee doesn't matter if you use them as ranged which you should for most pawns since melee only shines if you have a pawn specialize in it, it's also ironically good for beating up prisoners if you want to damage them as little as possible. unhappy and slow healing don't matter if you know how to play, which leaves the only real negative being slow immunity, a decent doctor and medicine get around that. fire spew can also be good in a pinch. and a paired highmate is only slightly better than an unpaired, they still make great psycasters/mechanitors/tamers and/or crafters/doctors depending on passion and i don't need to mention social
>intense UV can be counterplayed via tile blockers/roofed colonies
yes and you can make dark vision useless if you just place light where you mine, but that's generally just annoying to bother with and it's easier to just eat to no light work penalty for a non-dark vision miner. if you're going to charge to the edge of the map roof probably won't be there, and if you're going to jump, there's probably no roof there either

no mood malus really matters once you know how to make pawns happy, but 20% slow in sunlight is brutal on top of slow runner. again, even sanguophages only have 10%
