VS is 2-3x as fun to navigate. Most of the Outer Wilds navigation is tedium, returning to a place you've already been because last run you didn't have enough time to finish what you were doing or figured it out too late in the cycle. Later on, you have to wait to get to the point you want, which is even worse. VS has no time gates, only pure knowledge checks.
