LOL, it's like eating a sponge with foamy grease on it. Most Asian bakery items are trash. It's rare to see a multi-grain bun or any bread that's worth eating.

Malaysians are lazy cooks, much lazier than Thais. In Thailand I'd always see the cooks put water in the wok after each dish is prepared. Here they don't bother, and more often than not there are black burnt crumbs mixed into the grease-laden rice. It's the cost of ranging freely across the country. No time or inclination to suss out the good places, pick any old stall to fill up the tank when it runs low.
