HELP! I need /k/ advice since im not in the US:

Range buddy offered me a M1 Garand sniper. All original. I dont know which sniper but i guess the late one.
He wants 2500. Condition good.

Is a garand sniper worth it?
what to look for to avoid problems?
Can the optic be adjusted / zeroed easily or is it a special tool little setting range nightmare?
Can the optics be taken off / on easily or is it soldered / bolted in place ?

M1 is cool as fuck but 2500 is a lot if you have some mouths to feed, thx for any advice in advance.
