All right, full context. Towa and Dabura plotted up a scheme to keep everyone out of their hair for a while, sending multiple characters to different timelines knowing we'd prioritize looking for them over interfering with their schemes. Only partially worked, but did end up with Goku being one of the people that got sent away.

While prepping for that and trying to make peace with the Machine Mutants after causing the destruction of M2/General Rildo, we come across a displaced planet from Universe 3 and end up helping the local inhabitants; the planet is entirely OC stuff but heavily inspired by Transformers (but also like, Zoids, Getter Robo, Gobots, and some other stuff), tying it back to Dragon Ball proper with the enemies of the whole thing using Destron Energy (the same kind of stuff as Raichi's Destron Gas but in a purer form). One of the leaders of good guy faction is this giant robot lady that turns into a bird (pic related), she and Maple ended up on friendly terms, and that was enough for the Schizo to decide Maple should forget about rescuing Goku entirely and hook up with her. And that also the kids were okay with this and would support it. And also write up yet more fapfics about this new pairing.
