It's really up to you. Im both an alcoholic, pot smoker, zynhead, and take kratom before doing 400lb squats and 350lbs deadlifts. Alcohol over my life has been far worse for recovery in my opinion but that also doesn't absolve weed of it's troubles. I'm also 6'4 and need to eat 3500 calories per day to maintain a consistent bulk. I take a 500mg edible before I go to sleep and then If I'm not careful I'll powersleep for 12+ hours. When I'm in the gym I'll load up with caffeine/zyn/kratom, after that if I eat my macros for the day that's when I'll open a 200ml bottle and then just coast until I fall asleep.
If your goals are just to lift heavy and are not going to compete professionally, weed won't negatively impact your performance for the worse if you moderate. If you have plans on doing it professionally I would say prioritizing your physical fitness is more important than smoking weed on your offtime. But by far Alcohol is worse for you from a recovery and physiological factor over time, for weed it's really up to your genetics and how you prioritize what your life is going to become. Even Arnold was a pot smoker because he physically could not eat as much as needed to without drugs.
