Ultimately the only question that matters is can a story be truly good if it's ultimately pornography? I suppose you could argue many myths are just some ancient furries fanfiction (what the fuck was Zeus doing?), but most of the world didn't view them that way. The sex parts in such myths usually weren't the focal point. They were often just a jumping off point for a hero to go on a quest or something.
