I love it when the guy with generic asshole personality and jobber aura turns out to not be all talk. Why would someone be an overconfident smug asshole if they didn't have at least SOMEthing to show for it, just something to give them a legitimate reason to believe they're hot shit. In most other manga this is a character that would have been SOUBOUTEI'd in 1 second after entrance and sure it would have been satisfying on some level, but it just begs the question why he would choose to stick around after seeing what he saw during the meeting. Like give him a reason. There is jobbing and then there's just not even trying to make sense.
