I kept getting suspended for doing it then expelled at 16. You were not allowed to do it at most schools in uk afaik. I think I was the best one due to consistency, choice, reliability and doing paybacks which inevitably never materialised but lots made money from it.

It's exactly that. Even £1 mil in a boring index fund will return £100k. Outside of super niche stuff like Jane street, no job in UK allows you to save this much each year. Regarding your indie gamedev idea it sounds really interesting, obviously it isn't reliable but it's the only way you'll ever really strike it big. Wagecucking just doesn't work you have to do your own thing.

Maybe this sounds dumb but I do feel like there is an element of chudism/jealousy from the teachers about someone doing so well outside the system.

I'm in my final year of medical school and kind of regret doing this if I'm being honest.

In the UK you can study it with very, very little chemistry or biology knowledge if you have already have a degree in an unrelated subject (I did physics and hadn't studied bio or chem since 16) and I had no idea that I was about 1,000x more naturally talented at maths and physics until I got here.

I'm still ok and better academically than average doctor just not exceptional like I was at these subjects. I was an awkward freak when I started and I'll forever be grateful for it massively improving my social skills and essentially making me a normie though.

In addition money was a fairly major factor when I picked it. Now crypto makes me far, far more than medicine ever will so the money isn't much of a benefit anymore and I could have just studied what I was best at and most passionate about.
