iirc corru predates homestuck, it just took corruworks THAT long to pull together a cohesive project that he wanted to continue.

tl;dr: a contractor and a glowie break into a biological alien memory storage device where half the memories have started thinking for themselves and become unreliable sources of information, you are doing this to solve the mystery of "why did the aliens leave?"
its kinda like a visual novel, but its mostly about exploring the memory device. a good chunk of the content actually ISNT on the main storyline, so you're missing a lot if you dont take a look around.
there is also a gameplay shift to RPG combat at the current halfway mark.
