She's powerful, but she doesn't seem to be making her own plays. Kris had to do so much to get her to show up in the tv world. We don't see who opened the sanctuary, but I don't think it was Dess herself.
The second class I'd choose is Heir, but Dess does not seem to be able to change the mysteries of deltarune or have any measure of control over them. It also doesn't reflect her significance in the story. Maybe she's a muse of void roleplaying a knight or prince of doom.

The main difference being Darkners aren't "soulless" the way Flowey was because they're not bound by the existential parameters of Undertale monsters.
