You might think that she could just close the blinds, but the game elegantly addresses this plothole by making the protagonist a woman who is incapable of getting the blinds to descend. She eventually calls a repairman to get her blinds fixed and I'm not even making this up. Somehow the repairman doesn't actually engage the blinds in the process of fixing them and so the reveal that there was a warning written in blood on the blinds that you could only see properly if you close them was preserved for only her to see.
And uh, the warning said to keep the blinds open so after all that we still don't actually block the light shining in our window because we trust vague messages written in blood on our window blinds. God it was fucked, why didn't she just go outside to see where the light was coming from? Points to them for making a brightly lit horror game though, generally everyone goes for the dark being scary.
Anyway, yeah, at the end I tried to run away from the light or something I actually sort of already forget even though I just played it but you end up falling in a hole that you never actually saw and got imprisoned by shadow monsters or something but there's probably a good ending you could get but I didn't save so I'd have to do the whole game over.
