I gotta agree with what people are saying here.
The series started off strong then got boring and off track fast.
It really peaked for me when Thofinn lamented his life and said living his life was meaningless.
Then I felt like his redemption arc wasn't panned out at all. like the story isn't even about him anymore, and every other major characters that was introduced before all became tertiary.
and the manga didn't really focus on the viking lifestyle that much either. it was a lot more about the interconnected relationships between new characters that I don't care for too much.
I am personally kinda sad that Thorfinn simply stopped progression as a character after becoming ninja jesus,
and some characters like Hilda and Garm are just completely out of place. like they should belong in a fantasy setting and it made no sense how they lived.
one of the many logical flaws i also question is Thorfinn's reasoning, why is he dead set against violence but not abolish slavery? you would think with all that happened to himself he would try to use his skills to fight and free existing slaves too but he believes running away and start new somewhere is more morally correct?
well anyway i ranted enough, still don't know who the person in pic is.
i give this 7/10 because i like the art.
