“Even though Jielun surpassed Noon, our boy found a secret shortcut!” Crossbill announces.

“J-Jielun violently swerves back and gets into it as well, even without a boost! He didn’t land pretty, and lost some ground — but he’s trailing on the right route behind Mr. Noon! He still has a chance!” Vortexia is impressed by the evil man’s abilities.

“That’s the determination of a man who came from nothing. Thank the stars, Noon is a far smoother man than he is.” Kushi gives her flowers too, but doesn’t want to sound like she’s gushing about her boss.

“What’s the story?” Crossbill goes back to the interview time.

“A man who follows the law is destined to stay where they are. No better or no worse. Crime is a vehicle to make his dream come true. That’s… as much as he’s told me. Whatever his story really is, he implied it was unremarkable until he broke his chains.” Kushi says.

“...I’m starting to think you have no idea who this guy really is.” Vortexia feels duped!
