i've got a VM mustang just to try out the short scale thing and was wondering how you get around the trem springs sounding like an acoustic spring reverb?

I gave up on it and ended up making it a hardtail, figured it was just a quirk with the model but i figure you have experience with em.

Any suggestions on pickup swaps for the SS models?
