Personally speaking I don't really care about that plot point. They are so fucking different from one another I can just ignore the fact that they came from Shion's DNA. For all I know maybe the gene splicing from Shion's DNA was so extreme it barely kept any genes except the cryptoglobin ones.
Idk maybe just my own cope.
